KANDU is Making a Difference
KANDU Industries is a 501(c)(3) organization that provides opportunities to people with disabilities or disadvantages. For more than 60 years, these work, social, and daily activities enable KANDU clients to achieve their maximum potential and enjoy the dignity of being productive citizens. We are not about care giving… we’re about developing independence. In 1961, a small group of parents and supportive community leaders met to find ways to meet the employment needs of their sons and daughters with disabilities. By 1964, KANDU obtained its first outsourced work contracts from Parker Pen and American Baton companies. Over the years, KANDU has experienced tremendous growth and today, KANDU impacts the lives of over 200 “clients” (persons with disabilities or disadvantages) along with a staff of over 100.
